Summer Season Ends and Fall Begins!

We lost to Fair Oaks last night 1-2, but not from lack of trying!  Our first doubles (Patty and Lindsey) cruised by in their match to win 6-2, 6-2 for the first and only win of the night.  Third doubles (Carolyn and Janine) fought closely neck to neck with their opponents and got out-lobbed by them (7-6, 6-3).  The longest and hardest set was played by Susie and Alesia who split sets before having their opponents beat them 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. 

The food was great, even though it appears Patty drank most of the cranberry juice!!  Get that woman some margaritas!!!  Also, much thanks to Carolyn for being such a great trooper and filling in at the last minute after having played 3 long sets Monday night - the woman is like the Eveready Bunny and keeps on swinging!

My thanks to Susie for being a great co-captain, especially when I was on vacation and I dropped everything in her lap.  Hope you all had fun to and I'm looking forward to next season!!  Thank you, EVERYONE!!!!
